All Short Films I have directed
I love to tell stories through cinema, it is my passion. Capturing and designing projects is thrilling to me. I have also been cinematographer for these projects as I like to pair that with directing.
This was my first project. I am not ashamed of the quality, as this piece of work illustrates how far I've come from 2022 to now. This was during my free time to create something interesting for my own enjoyment. This was also the first time I experimented with visual effects making a ceiling crack expand.
This was the most ambitious project I had ever come up with in the time. This was supposed to be a trilogy franchise about a group of people stranded on an island, slowly uncovering the backstory. This was for my final college project, and I wanted to expand on it afterwards. After time has passed I have realised this was so ambitious and I would need a large budget to make this happen to the quality I am aiming for. I am hoping to reshoot this project one day in such a better way.
My perspectives shifted when I joined university. The fundamentals of filmmaking were broken down, and I managed to reconstruct my understanding of short film. This was for my first semester project and I am happy with the outcome apart from the ending as we had to change it which didn't make much sense. However this was my best constructed piece with telling the character's story well.
So far out of all the films I've made so far, I don't think I put as much thought into each shot as much as this one. That may be because of its short length, however, I am proud of the way it came out. I decided for a University project to do a film and this is what came from that. In decided not to move the camera, which is a style I am likely to continue as I was pleased with how it looked in the end. My tripod made this film look perfect paired with my new Helios 44-2 58mm vintage lens.
Other Short Films I've been associated with.
These films include my acting and behind the scenes work, I wouldn't go down the acting route in the future it's just to fill roles for others projects.
